Our story

This business was started during the covid pandemic of 2020.  It stemmed from two families who encountered the same issue which was finding processors that could get beef scheduled in a timely fashion.  Mac and Celsie Sussex along with Roger, Vicki, Chad and Nicole Uthmann met by chance during the pandemic and came together to form one company.  A company that could help supply our local communities with food stability after a large crisis hit the entire country.  The goal was to provide USDA inspected meat to our states as well as others and insure that our cattle were readily available in situations were food was a shortage.

After many months of planning and searching we were able to partner with Friesla a company out of Washington state that builds USDA specific slaughter and processing units.  Construction began in June of 2021 and the business opened in December of 2021.  A remarkable timeline for a whole facility to be built and inspected.  During the process every family member helped with construction and dedicated countless hours and equipment to the process.  Together the company moves forward constantly innovating to make our process better and growing.

BMB places high value on hard work, community, family values, God and of course QUALITY LOCAL MEAT!
